Three Fail-Proof Tricks to Master Your Inner Voice

You also have this constant internal dialogue, don’t you? But does your inner voice support you or rather stop you from achieving goals? Today let’s take a look at something Blair Singer calls “a little voice.”

You probably know that: first, you are extremally excited about an idea, but then, as time flows, your excitement drops, and you end up being in the same position. No progress. No step forward. You stay in your comfort zone. Again.

Be brave

Staying in a comfort zone means that you let your limiting beliefs control you. We all have this kind of beliefs like “I’m not good enough,” “I don’t deserve,” “It’s better not to change anything.” I also used to think that way. However, my desire to change eventually has won (I’m so grateful for that), and I’ve started my journey that brought me to the place where I am now.

You can also change your position and get out of your comfort zone. There’s no other way if you want to change anything in your life. You cannot achieve greatness in your comfort zone. Comfort doesn’t match with greatness.

How to win your inner dialogue?

The key to change is to win your inner dialogue. It’s time to realize that you can control your little voice.

Blair describes 21 techniques to master your little voice. You can use them as your personal 21 days express course to learn how to deal with the inner voice. It starts from simple things like celebrating every win, not attributing any problems to you personally to techniques that will help you handle any objection.

Trick #1. Handle every success

Blair teaches that the way you handle success is as important as the way you handle failures.

It is vital to celebrate every success. Whenever you achieve success you have to anchor it into your body by a gesture or something you will say to yourself. The aim is to change your state of mind later on in case you will experience intimidation. Repeating this gesture and recalling your past successes will help you overcome the moments of intimidation.

Trick #2. Overcome “I Can’t Do It”

Do you feel overwhelmed by this thoughts like “I can’t do it’, “It’s not for me” etc.? There is a way to overcome it.

It takes 3 steps:

  1. Exaggerate. Think about the most ridiculous reason why you can’t do this thing.

  2. Ask yourself “What can I do?”.

  3. And finally ask yourself “What would be the first thing I would do, if I could do this thing?

Those steps help you to find your real emotional state and take more realistic approach to the thing you believe you can’t do.

Trick #3. Stay present

This is my favorite technique.

It is a simple exercise, which will help you be 100% present: find a person and try to look at each other without talking for at least three minutes. Look them in the eye. Let your inner voice go crazy until it becomes completely silent.

That’s it. Now you can enjoy the silence.

This week’s challenge

This week I want you to choose one trick and stick to it whenever you will feel like your inner voice is starting to overwhelm you. You can apply all three if you want, but try to start small and right away.

Let me know how it works for you. Post a comment below. I can’t wait to hear from you.

See you next week! Cheers!
