Email Like a CEO
You’ve probably heard of the email zero conception. It tends to be a solution for inbox flooded with emails, and this annoying number in your email application that stands for unread mails. How many is it? 2742? Or maybe 125k?
What are lessons learned from Hilary Clinton’s email gate? Obviously, the fact that it’s not a good idea to use an email account hosted on a server placed in your basement for sending classified messages. But there’s another take away: try to apply an instant messaging style to your emails.
How to do it?
We tend to write emails as they were good old handwriting letters. In fact, an email is a form of communication that requires a fast answer (if you don’t want to end up with an inbox 125k instead of zero). So… write it fast. Here’s how:
Reply immediately after you read an email
Reply short
Do it on your phone; stop I-will-answer-it-when-I-get-to-my-computer.
